As I look back on my blogs from the last two years I notice two things:
1. I always say I don’t like “new years resolutions”
2. I accomplish what I set out to do
In 2009 I said I wanted to become a personal trainer in 2010. I did just that. I studied for my certification through NASM and got a job at Latitude Sports Club in Peabody.
In 2010 I said I wanted to start my own virtual training business. Once again, I accomplished that.
So since I’m at 100% right now, perhaps I should say in 2012 I would like to become a millionaire. hehe. But resolutions are about doing what you can control… for the most part. Your goals need to be S.M.A.R.T.
I also said in 2011 I wanted to compete in a Bikini Competition. So what did I do? I went straight to Cathy Savage Fitness, hired a coach, found a show, worked my ass off and ate perfectly almost perfectly to get on the stage.
And my bonus goal for 2011 was to do handstand push ups away from the wall. Check out this video on my progress..
I got away from doing handstand push ups with the onset of my shoulder injury. And I got away from the handstands as well, but those are still okay. I am not giving up though! It’s my bonus resolution for 2012!
So tell me… Did YOU accomplish your resolutions for 2011?
